Mountain bike safari - Nissinvaaran trail

The length of the initial part of the route is some 8 kilometers / 5 miles. We take a break at a lean-to shelter along route to enjoy a drink of refreshing cold drink of squash while listening to the sound of a nearby brook. After approximately 1 kilometer we take to tarmac paved road taking to the small rustic village of Nissinvaara.

After the climb on the highest point of our route we take a break to have a cold drink. Once back in the camp there is a warm sauna by a small woodland pond waiting for us. The gentle heat and steam of a wood-burning sauna and a dip into fresh, clean water relax both body and soul giving a feeling of pure bliss! After sauna it is time to enjoy a meal of tasty fish barbequed on a campfire and reflect upon the course of the day.
